Hello, my name is Hailey! I am the manager and head tutor for our Langley location of DOBI. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human services from TWU. I’ve been passionate about teaching for as long as I can remember and I absolutely love working at DOBI because I get to individualize my lessons to help each kid learn in a way that makes sense for their brain. Getting to know my students also brings me a lot of joy! Outside of tutoring, you can find me camping, reffing ringette games, playing ultimate, or nerding out about linguistics and how language works!

Hello! I’m Katie, and I’ve been tutoring with DOBI for a  year. I’m completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology and value our flexible approach to supporting diverse learners. I meet each student where they’re at, using games, stories, and personalized tools to make learning engaging. I love connecting with kids and sharing in their interests—whether it’s Star Wars, Pokémon, sports, or music—and I enjoy bringing creativity and playfulness into every lesson.

Hello! My name is Emmily, and I’m in my final semester of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Counselling minor at KPU. I love working one-on-one with students to help them build strong reading and English skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. I’ll be continuing my education at JIBC this fall, focusing on Trauma Crisis and Intervention.

My name is Ella and I am in my last year of my undergrad studying psychology at university. I plan to graduate and go to school for my masters. I love working at DOBI and helping kids to learn and read in different ways. I enjoy making connections with new people and being able to learn from them. In my free time I love to be in nature or I like to crochet!

My name is Francesca! I graduated with Psychology & Human Services at TWU in 2022. I’ve always had a passion for working with young children — I worked as a Behavioural Interventionist for 2 years before working with DOBI. I was one of the OG employees when DOBI was starting up, then I left to do a 15-month ministry training program across the US & Europe, and now I’m back! My hobbies include: hiking, photography, traveling, and finding cafes that serve quality matcha lattes!

My name is Danica Stephen, and I have been with DOBI since 2024. I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a Certificate in Human Services from Trinity Western University. I have always been passionate about working with children and helping through individualized learning, and being able to meet them where they are. I also enjoy comics, travelling, Starbucks, and sushi!

Hi! My name is Sara. I’m a tutor here at DOBI because I’m passionate about reading and believe stories give kids a voice they never knew they had. I study English and Criminology at Simon Fraser University, where I write way too many essays and read way too many books—but I’m grateful for the opportunity at DOBI to pass some of these skills on. My favourite thing about working here is the opportunity to show kids, one on one, that being themselves is not an obstacle to their success. That learning differently is not learning wrong. There’s always people who care, and I’m glad to be part of such a uniquely caring company. 

Hello! My name is Caimbrya, and I am currently in my third year at the University of the Fraser Valley, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As a tutor, l focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels seen, supported and capable of success. Having had a reading tutor myself growing up, I know firsthand how much of a difference the right guidance can make. I am excited to now have the privilege to support students on their own reading journeys with our personalized approaches here at DOBI.
